Science, simplified

Your body isn't broken.
It's under-signaled.

Your health isn't random. It's coordinated through millions of tiny conversations happening inside you every second. Biofehm exists to reconnect you with that biology, to make sense of peptides, GLP-1s, and the rest of the noise, so you understand what's actually happening and can make good decisions with your provider. Not to sell you anything. To help you fall a little in love with how your body works.

Education, never prescription. Biofehm is designed to make you understand the conversations already happening inside your body, and to ask sharper questions of the provider who prescribes and oversees your care. I don't diagnose, prescribe, or sell. That line stays bright, because it's what keeps this honest.

How Biofehm works

Understand. Strategize. Support.

Biofehm is one system with three parts. You can stop after understanding, or continue into a full strategy when you want to act. The medical side is always handled by a licensed provider.

01 Understand

Your biology, made clear

I take your goals, history, labs, and current therapies and translate them into plain language: what appears to be happening, what deserves attention, and why previous approaches may have stalled.

You leave finally understanding what you're looking at, and why.

02 Strategize

A research-informed plan

When you want to act, I develop a proposed strategy: which interventions are worth considering, why, in what sequence, what to address first, what to track, and how the plan might change with your response.

This is where my scientific background becomes the actual work.

03 Support

Guidance the whole way

Once a plan is underway, I don't disappear. I help you understand what you're doing and why, track your response and biomarkers, and flag what's worth bringing back to your provider.

Continuity, not a report handed over and forgotten.

Where the clinical pathway fits

When a strategy involves medical treatment, it goes to a licensed provider who independently evaluates it, decides what is clinically appropriate, and owns diagnosis, prescribing, dosing, and lab orders. I provide the research and reasoning. The provider makes every medical decision. That boundary is built into how Biofehm works, not buried in fine print.

Ways in

For clinics and providers

You prescribe. I do the research.

Peptides are moving faster than most practices can keep up with. Adding them to a clinic means reading the literature, deciding what actually pairs, and tracking a regulatory picture that has changed twice this year. That is a research job, and it is the one I do.

Protocol design and strategy

A structured, evidence-based proposal you evaluate on the merits: what to consider, in what sequence, what genuinely combines and what does not.

  • Peptide selection matched to your patient population
  • Sequencing and combination rationale, with the reasoning shown
  • Phased structure with measurable checkpoints
  • Every prescribing decision stays with you

Literature review, translated

The evidence behind a compound, summarized honestly, including where it is thin. You get the reasoning, not a vendor's brochure.

  • What the research actually supports, and what it does not
  • Mechanism explained in language you can pass to a patient
  • Sourcing and quality questions worth asking a supplier
  • Written summaries your team can keep and reuse

Regulatory monitoring

The compounding landscape for peptides is actively shifting. Knowing where a compound stands right now is the difference between a service line and a liability.

  • Current status of the compounds you are considering
  • Plain-language briefings when the picture changes
  • Questions to put to your compounding pharmacy
  • Documentation practices worth having in place

Team education

Your providers and staff get the same depth I bring, so the knowledge lives inside the practice rather than sitting with one outside consultant.

  • Sessions built around your actual service line
  • Reference material written for clinical use
  • Patient-facing explanations that stay accurate
  • Ongoing access as questions come up

How engagements work. Clinic work begins with a protocol audit, a fixed-scope review of what you are building and what it needs. Most practices then move to a monthly retainer for ongoing strategy and regulatory monitoring. Because scope depends on your service line, the number of prescribers, and how much ongoing support you want, engagements are quoted after a conversation rather than priced from a menu.

Enquire about clinic work Research and education only. I do not prescribe, dispense, or compound.

The 12-week program

A framework, not a guess

For those who go deeper: real research turned into a structured, measurable plan: the difference between scattered experimentation and a strategy that builds on itself. Always carried out with your licensed provider.

Translate the science

Turn peer-reviewed research into clear, structured protocols that cut through the hype around peptides.

Design the program

Build a phased, personalized plan measured with bloodwork, so progress is something you can actually see.

Guide the journey

Support you from start to finish, with the medical side always handled by a licensed provider.

Twelve weeks, in three phases

1
Weeks 1-4

Stabilize

Calm the system and build the base: sleep, stress, inflammation, and recovery. Baseline markers are set here.

2
Weeks 5-8

Enhance

Build on a stable base: energy, focus, and performance. We check progress against your markers at the midpoint.

3
Weeks 9-12

Optimize

Sustain and refine: longevity, body composition, and peak function. We review the full picture and plan what's next.

Each phase is designed around your goals and biology, and carried out with your licensed provider.

About

Who makes the science simple

I'm Zahra Mahmood, a healthcare biotechnology scientist with advanced doctoral research training in neurobiology. My work has always lived at the intersection of molecular biology and the brain, studying how cellular signals, including peptides, shape the way we function, with published research on insulin resistance and Alzheimer's neurodegeneration.

That way of thinking became Biofehm. I'm fascinated by the signals that regulate how we think, recover, adapt, metabolize, and perform, and by what happens when those signals become weak or poorly coordinated.

Your body isn't broken. It's simply under-signaled.

The body is always responding to chemical messages: hormones, neurotransmitters, peptides, growth factors, an ongoing conversation between cells. My work is about understanding that conversation. I study the research, examine the mechanisms, evaluate emerging peptide and longevity science, and translate it into something you can actually understand and use. When a decision involves medical treatment, I work alongside a licensed provider who handles everything clinical. I don't diagnose, prescribe, or sell.

I'm not interested in hype or miracle molecules. I'm interested in the question underneath all of it: what is the biology trying to tell us? Because once you understand the signal, you can think much more clearly about the solution.

Background

  • Healthcare biotechnology scientist
  • MSc, Healthcare Biotechnology
  • Advanced doctoral research training in neurobiology
  • Published research on insulin resistance and Alzheimer's neurodegeneration
  • Translates complex science into plain language
  • Honest about what's proven versus still emerging

Honest fit

Is this right for you?

I'd rather be upfront than oversell. Here's who this works for, and who it doesn't.

This is for you if…

  • You're overwhelmed by wellness claims and want the honest science
  • You want to understand your options before spending money or starting anything
  • You'd like better questions to bring to your doctor
  • You want to be educated, not sold to

This isn't the right fit if…

  • You want someone to prescribe or sell you something directly
  • You're looking for a quick fix or a guaranteed result
  • You'd prefer to skip your own provider entirely
  • You want a diagnosis or medical treatment

Questions

Good things to know

What exactly do you do?

I translate the science behind modern wellness therapies, whether peptides, GLP-1s, supplements, or longevity trends, into plain language, so you understand your options. I don't diagnose, prescribe, or sell anything. I help you make informed decisions with your provider.

What's a Clarity Session?

A dedicated one-to-one session about whatever you're considering. I explain what the science actually says, clearly and at your pace. You leave with a written summary of the key points and a prepared list of questions for your provider. It's $135.

Is this medical advice?

No. Everything I provide is educational in nature. It doesn't constitute medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or prescribing. All medical decisions rest with your licensed provider. I help you walk into that conversation better informed.

Do I need my own doctor or provider?

For general clarity, no. You can come simply to understand something. For the 12-week program, yes: peptide therapy is prescribed and overseen by a licensed provider, and we coordinate with yours.

What does it cost?

A Clarity Session is $135 and includes the summary and prescriber question sheet. The 12-week Peptide Program is $300 (or $100/month). The initial 20-minute call to point you in the right direction is free.

Will you tell me what to take?

No, that's your provider's role, not mine. What I do is help you understand what something is, what the evidence shows, and what to ask. The goal is a smarter conversation with your doctor, not a prescription from me.

Client stories

What clients say

The first client stories will live here soon.

As clients complete their programs and share their experience (with permission), their words will appear here.

Worked with me? Share your experience

Thank you for working with me. If you'd be willing to share a few words about your experience, I'd be grateful. It helps others decide whether this is right for them.

Please keep your words to your experience and the process rather than specific medical results. Biofehm provides education and strategy, and all medical decisions rest with your licensed provider. Your response is kept private unless you've given permission above.

Thank you, that means a lot.

Your words have been sent. I'll be in touch if I have any questions.

That didn't send.

Sorry about that. Please email your testimonial to info@biofehm.com and I'll add it myself.
